“Value Investing” is the underlying theme of this pioneering international investment research competition. Value investing is a well-known, time-proven investment strategy that is used globally to identify undervalued securities, both listed and unlisted. Some of the most successful investors are value investors and these include one of the world’s richest men, Warren Buffett, and investment guru, the late Benjamin Graham.
The 2020/2021 Budding Value Investor Award (“BVIA”) is Asia’s first and only global investment research competition organised by Capital Dynamics to encourage undergraduate and diploma students to acquire knowledge of value investing and the benefits it offers. The competition is sponsored by Capital Dynamics and icapital.biz Berhad, a closed-end fund listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia.
The 2020/2021 Budding Value Investor Award consists of two stages: (1) the Preliminary Stage requires participants to submit a Research Paper that consists of two parts; (2) the Final Stage is a Presentation of Part 2 of the participants’ Research Paper.
